Jane Smith will be in federal court Monday to plead guilty to three misdemeanor charges.

Smith, who just won the Republican nomination to serve a third term as Madison County Circuit Clerk, agreed to plead guilty to charges that she gave out her password to Alabama's highly-confidential court information system to an outside contractor.

Smith could face jail time, probation, a fine, or a combination of all three.

Smith has no Democratic challenger in November.
