Arab Mayor Gary Beam tells WHNT News 19 he will not seek another term as the mayor of Arab.   Beam lost Tuesday in a bid for the Republican nomination for Marshall County Probate Judge.

Beam says he just feels that one term was enough and that it's time to move aside and let someone else try their ideas for the city.  Beam was elected in 2008.

Qualifying for mayor opens in June with elections in August.   So far no one has announced plans to run for the position.
