Decatur Police Investigating Robbery At Renasant Bank

Decatur Police are investigating a robbery at Renasant Bank on Stratford Road.  It happened around 12 p.m. Monday.

Police say a man walked in the bank and showed a handgun.  He got money and ran away.

Lieutenant John Crouch said the robber was black, about 6 feet tall, and wore gray pants and a blue hoodie.

Crouch said the man didn’t fire the gun.  No one was hurt.

Witnesses say the man left a footprint in the mud nearby.  Officers made a mold of it and are now trying to pull a photograph of the man from the bank’s surveillance camera.
